Judy Holt, 72, passed away, Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. She was born on December 6, 1951 in Brazil, Indiana to the late Clarence and Betty (Hall) Wools. Judy graduated from Brazil High School in the class of 1970 and worked at Pizza Inn, Heartland Auto, as well as the Brazil Cord Factory.

In her free time Judy enjoyed watching westerns, going for Harley rides, attending yard sales, working puzzles, going to lunch, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marlyn Richards; brother, George Wools; brother-in-law, Otie Bemis; and son-in-law, Nathan Lewis; and niece, Melanie Bemis.

Survivors include her sons, TJ (Andrea) Layne, and Shawn (Tasha) Layne; daughter, Lori (Ronnie Jenkins) Lewis; sisters, Linda Bemis and Margaret Oldham; grandchildren, Hailee (Lucas) Alsip, Britney (Dustin) Starner, Cameron Lewis, Chace Layne and Kayden Layne; great-grandchildren, Ella, Skylar, Rylee, and Miles; as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, August 12, 2024 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Jeff Bridgewater officiating and burial to follow at Union Cemetery. The family will accept friends for visitation on Monday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
