Kathleen “Katie” Kracy, 65, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis after an extended illness. She was born on September 9, 1959 in Hanover, Vermont to the late Vernon and Beverly (Blake) Mills. Katie graduated from Summerville High School in 1977, and worked as an Executive Assistant for Bagdad Unified School District in Arizona. She married John Kracy on October 4, 2008, and was a member of the Annunciation Catholic Church.

Katie enjoyed attending church, and renaissance festivals. In her free time she loved scrap booking and spending time with her family and friends. Kathleen was preceded in death by her brother, Sean Mills.

Survivors include her husband, John Kracy; daughter, Theresa Mills; sister, Debrah Maxwell; granddaughter, Brielle Finlee; as well as several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Moore Funeral Home in Brazil was entrusted with Katie’s cremation arrangements.
