Kenneth Wayne Carpenter

Kenneth Wayne Carpenter, 82, passed away, Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Cloverleaf Healthcare in Knightsville. He was born on May 12, 1939 in Perth, Indiana to the late Jesse and Golda (Duree) Carpenter. Ken graduated from Brazil High School, and went to work at American Vetrified as an extruder operator before transitioning to farming full time. He married Barbara Wells in November of 1958, they are members of the Higher Ground Christian Center. Ken loved horses, he enjoyed pulling his buggy and giving rides to his friends and family. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Steven Carpenter.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Carpenter of Brazil; son, Mike (Ruth) Carpenter of Brazil; daughter, Sherry (Faron) Richard of Brazil; grandchildren, Ashley (Kyle) Sirratt of Danville, IL, Heather (Matthew) Smith of Hanover Park, IL, Brandy (Mat) Thompson of Brazil; great-grandchildren, Ethan Thompson, Rory and Mia Smith.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 P.M. May 1, 2022 at Higher Ground Christian Center with Pastor Faron Richard officiating. Moore Funeral Home in Brazil was entrusted with Kenneth’s cremation arrangements.
