Linda Martin, 74, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020 at Cloverleaf Healthcare in Knightsville. She was born in Greencastle, Indiana on December 18, 1945 to the late Forrest and Ada (Whitlock) Johnston. Linda graduated from Greencastle High School in 1963, and worked her entire life in healthcare as a QMA and CNA. She married Scott Martin on June 7, 1970 and attended First Christian Church.

Family was the most important part of Linda’s life, she loved having everyone at the house for gatherings. In her free time she enjoyed working crossword puzzles, reading and crafts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Scott Martin; daughter, Starlette Martin; sisters, Anita O’Neal and Edith Dennis.

Linda is survived by her sons, Troy Combs and James Paul (Ashley) Martin; Daughters, Vicki (Paul) Lafferty, Sheila (Robert) Albright, Wanda Weiland, Marilyn May, Sonia (Bill) Phelps, Teresa Estell, Donna (Jim) Fields, and Amy (Gordon) Bowling; Brother, Dallas Johnston; 27 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and other extended family. 

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Clearview Cemetery with Pastor Chris Gregg officiating. The family will accept friends for visitation from 12:00 Noon until the time of service at the cemetery.
