Margaret "Peggy" Brown Obituary

Margaret “Peggy” Louise Brown, 74, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute. She was born on March 8, 1948 in Brazil to the late Carl and Margaret (Wright) McKinney, Sr. Peggy graduated from Brazil High School in 1966, and later completed Harold’s Beauty Academy. She held her beauty license for almost 40 years. Peggy married Charles “Charlie” Brown on January 20, 1968. In her free time, Peggy enjoyed painting, crafting, working haunted houses, and gardening. She also loved yard sales and was an avid Boyds Bears collector. Most importantly, Peggy loved spending time with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and always made family her top priority. 

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents; and granddaughter, Keera Snoddy. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Charlie Brown of Brazil; son, Pat (Shannon) Brown of Brazil; daughter, Jennifer (Wade) Snoddy of Knightsville; brother, Carl McKinney of Brazil; grandchildren, Harrison Snoddy, Hunter Brown, Alexandria Brown, and Emma Brown. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Dennis Holley officiating. The family will accept friends for visitation from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery in Brazil. Memorial contributions may be made in Peggy’s honor to The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care.
