Marlene Diel, 70, a loving housewife and mother, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at her home in Poland. She was born in New Castle Indiana to the late Arnold and Mary (Dalrymple) Mathews. Marlene attended New Castle High School, and married Chris Diel on October 27, 1989. She worked at Heartland Automotive.

Marlene enjoyed working in her garden, and spending time with her family especially the grandkids. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Lloyd Myers, Ronnie Mathews, Buster Myers, and Diane Baker.

Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Chris Diel; sons, Chad Anderson and Brian Diel; brother, Gary Mathews; sisters, Judy Worthington and Beverly Meese; grandchildren, Courtney, Chase, Devon, and Kaitlynne; and Three Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00m P.M. Monday at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with burial to follow at Poland Cemetery. The family will accept friends for visitation on Monday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
