Mary Maxine Beaman, 100, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Exceptional Living Center in Brazil. She was born on June 21, 1920 in Brazil to the late Ernest and Estella (Purcell) Nicoson. Mary graduated from Staunton High School in 1938, and married Samuel Harold Beaman on May 17, 1941. She was a member of Forest Avenue Methodist Church, and retired from CBS in 1981.

Mary was an extremely optimistic person, always looking at the bright side of things. She enjoyed making new friends, quilting, and spending time with her family. She loved getting everyone together for Christmas. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, as well as her sisters, Gladys Riley, Ruby Ferry, Edelene Buzzard, and Edith Smith.

    Daughters:    Connie Lynne (Joe) Lunsford, Brazil, Indiana

            Karen Lee (Robert) Bedwell, Brazil, Indiana

    Grandchildren:    Lisa (Jeff) Warren, Rita (Chris) Latham, Joey (Lynsey) Lunsford, Eric (Alyssa) Bedwell, and Adam (Jennifer) Bedwell

    Great-Grandchildren:    Amanda and Brett Warren, Kendra and Nick Latham, Lucas and Kamryn Lunsford, and Adlynn and Alaina Bedwell

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Clearview Cemetery in Brazil. Mary’s family wants everyone to know they understand if you’re unable to attend due to the pandemic.
