Mary Gertrude Slack

Mary Gertrude Slack, 99, passed away Wednesday February 12, 2020 at Asbury Towers in Greencastle. She was born on May 12, 1920 the only daughter of the late Harvey and Tressa (Marks) Slack. Gertrude graduated from Brazil High School, and earned her Batchelor’s degree at Depauw University and her Master’s Degree at the University of Michigan. She served her country in the United States Navy.

Mrs. Slack was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Brazil, the Eastern Star and the Democratic Party.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Gary Scroggins officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon until the time of service.
