Mildred Maudena Whitehead, 92, passed away on October 24, 2025 while staying st Hudsonwood in Brazil. She was born in Clay City, Indiana on July 8, 1933 to the late John and Susana (Wheat) Cochran.
Mildred was a homemaker, mother, and friend. She enjoyed watching wrestling, going for rides in the country to do what she called “deer hunting”, and spending time with friends and family. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Delbert Kidwell and Thomas Whitehead; brothers, John Cochran, Jr. and Jim Cochran; sisters, Pauline Love, Irene McDonald and Mary Rader.
Survivors include her children, Ada McLin, Keith (Rose) Schell, Mike (Penny) Kidwell, and Carla (Richard) Gorrell; grandchildren, Sonya, Ronald, Timmy, Curt, Josh and Sarah; eleven Great Grandchildren; and her special friend Darlene French.
Mildred will be laid to rest at Harmony Cemetery with a graveside service to be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, November 13, 2025. Moore Funeral Home in Brazil was entrusted with her cremation arrangements.
