Norma Sharyl Dake, 71, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. She was born in Brazil, Indiana on April 26, 1954 to the late Thurman and Ruby (Carlin) O’Dell. Norma attended Brazil High School, and married Ben Dake on August 13, 1983. They attended Lost Creek Baptist Church.

Norma enjoyed sewing, fishing, camping, playing scratch-off tickets, going for picnics in the state parks, attending concerts and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her 9 brothers and sisters, daughter, Jaimee Lynn Dake, and her granddaughter, Bowdhi Jo Dake.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years Ben Dake; children, Robert Ross, Terrence Mullens, Christopher Ross, LeeAnn (Nicholas) Brunton, Justin (Shelby) Dake; grandchildren, Breanna Dake, Brody Brunton, Zoey Dake, and Branden Brunton; great-grandson, Oscar Lee McCullough; as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Terrell Jones officiating and burial to follow at Clearview Cemetery. The family will accept friends for visitation on Monday from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
