Oran Lee Schroer, 76, passed away Monday, December 28, 2020 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. He was born on July 11, 1944 in Clay County to the late Charles Clifton and Nila (Campbell) Schroer. Oran worked for IMC for 25 years. In his spare time he enjoyed watching his daughter play softball, hunting mushrooms, and watching horse pulls.
Oran is survived by his daughter, Wendy (Michelle) Schroer of Terre Haute; Sister, Mona (Garry) Howard of Knightsville; brothers, Owen Dee Schroer of Cloverdale, Charles (Janet) Schroer of Bowling Green, Merrill (Mary Jane) Schroer of Naples, Florida, and Robert Lynn (Patsy) Schroer of Laverne, Tennessee.
A celebration of Oran’s life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 2, 2020 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Paul Zurcher officiating. The family will accept friends for visitation on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. A burial of his cremated remains will be held at a later date at Zion United Church of Christ Cemetery.
