Center Point, Indiana

Patricia Ann Koehler, 91, passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, October 9, 2020 at the Gibson Hospice Unit at Union Hospital. She was born in Brazil, Indiana on April 1, 1929 to the late Marvin and Thelma (Wilson) McCloud. Patricia graduated from Brazil High School in 1947, she earned her undergraduate degree from Indiana University where she was a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority, and later obtained her Master’s in Education from Indiana State University. She married Herman “Carl” Koehler, Jr. on August 3, 1952, they were long time active members of the St. John’s United Church of Christ. She was a teacher for over 30 years, working at both Alabama and Staunton Elementary. 

Patricia enjoyed singing, painting, and loving on her bulldogs. She spent her free time reading, and attending activities with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl and sister, Bobbie Browne.

    Brother:    Joel (Helen) McCloud, Clayton, Indiana

    Grandchildren: Curt Koehler, Larissa (Josh) Scott, Kelsey (Joe) Clement, Jill (Jake) Bennett, Rebekah (Alfred) Medina, Josiah (Magdalina) Koehler, Brian (Jenni) Thompson, Tracy (Trevor) Thompson-Powell, David (Amy) Kingery, Heather (Cole) Doyle, Jerod (Megan) Weddle, Marcus Weddle, Debrenne (Derek) Nicoson, Derek Weddle, Cassie (Jason) Bahrt

    Great-Grandchildren:    Grace, Avery, and Jude Scott, Stuart and Wyatt Bennett, Ethan and Ella Doyle, Violet Medina, Wyatt Koehler, Easton Kingery, Zander and Zavier Weddle

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Lee Reberger officiating and burial to follow at St. John’s Cemetery. The family will accept friends for visitation on Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s United Church of Christ.
