Pearl Nancy Holley, 90, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at her home in Brazil. She was born on December 22, 1931 in Brazil to the late WM Goldsby and Jennetta (Sanders) Garrison. Pearl attended Brazil High School and graduated in the class of 1949. Shortly after graduation, Pearl married the love of her life, Harley T. Holley, Jr., on June 15, 1949. Together they raised six children. She worked for Columbia House for 20 years before working as a cashier for several years at Walmart. Pearl was proud to be the oldest member of Bee Ridge Christian Church, having attended since 1946. In her free time, she enjoyed feeding and watching birds, canning produce from her garden, cooking, and assisting folks in the cemetery. She was affectionately known as Grandma Pearl, Grandma Holley, Mamaw Noodle, and Great Mot.
Pearl is preceded in death by her husband, Harley T. Holley, Jr.; sisters, Mary Jane Talmage, Jo Ann Mercer; grandson, David Guinn; and daughter-n-law, Mindy Holley. Survivors include her sons, Dennis Wayne (Myra) Holley of Brazil, Ted WM (Kim) Holley of Brazil, Byron Lee (Stacy) Holley of Terre Haute; daughters, Nancy Ellen (Gene) Jenks of Brazil, Susan Irene (Herb) Heading of Brazil, Mary Jo (Matt) Myers of Brazil; sister, Jennetta Buchholz of California; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; 13 step-great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-great-grandchildren; as well as many other extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Bee Ridge Christian Church in Brazil. The family will accept friends for visitation from 1:30 P.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Bee Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pearl’s honor to Bee Ridge Christian Church.
