Randy “PeeWee” Newport, 66, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Millpond in Greencastle. He was born on March 26, 1958 in Brazil, Indiana to the late Herbert and Vivian (Stanz) Newport. Randy was a life long diesel mechanic, that loved his work.

In his free time he enjoyed all forms of racing, but he was especially fond of dirt track. Randy was also known for being the jokester of the family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Angela; brothers, Ronnie, Robert and Mike Newport; nephews, Robby and Bobby Newport; and his niece, Jessica Giacone.

Survivors Include his sons, Josh (Jamie) Newport, Jarred Newport, Jason (Michelle) Newport, Tim Bixler; daughter, Yawnie Adkins; sisters, Charlotte (David) Dinn, and Kelly (Bill) Moore; sister-in-laws, Lisa Newport and Teryl Newport; as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

The family would like to thank Sandy and Lynn for their dedication to Randy’s care.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 23, 2024 in the Bill Webster Memorial Chapel at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor John Pierce officiating and burial to follow at Fiscus Cemetery in Coal City. The family will accept friends for visitation on Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service.  A celebration of Randy’s life will take place at a later date.
