Ricky L. Ward, 64, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at The Gibson Family Hospice Center in Terre Haute. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on November 13, 1959 to Lloyd Cecil Ward and Juanita Hall. Ricky graduated from Brazil High School in 1978 and served his country in the United States Navy. He worked as a Master Diesel Tech for Fed Ex, and married Lisa Hicks on October 9, 2010.

Ricky loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed being outdoors, working in his yard, playing horseshoes or corn hole, and hunting. When he was able he enjoyed riding motorcycles. He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother, Juanita Mayfield; wife, Lisa Ward; sons, Nathan (Jennifer Frederick) Ward, Borick (Heather Burks-Ward) Ward, Joshua Estep and Joseph Estep; daughters, Sarah Ward, Miranda Ty, Mary Latisha Estep, and Kenleigh Ward; brothers, Randy Ward, Bruce (Christina) Ward, and Larry (Patti) Mayfield; sisters, Rhonda (Rick) Todd, Rebecca (Kyle) McKinney, Richelle (Mike) Herr-Smith, Regina (Louie) Dierckman, Peggy Hannum, and Debbie Clifford; Twenty-Two Grandchildren; Two Great-Grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor John Powell officiating. The family will accept friends for visitation on Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.
