Robert John Atkeson

Robert John Atkeson, 63, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Cloverleaf Healthcare in Knightsville. He was born on May 27, 1958 in Denver, Colorado to the late John Atkeson and the late Alice (Drees) Reed. Robert attended Staunton schools, and worked most of his life for Checkered Flag specializing in body repair and painting. In his free time, Robert enjoyed working on cars and playing pool. 

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; and brother-n-law, Mike Nichols. Survivors include his three sons; sisters, Debbie Nichols, Roberta Atkeson, Kathy (Mike) Stanley, Vickie (Tim) Ouellette, LeeAnn (Isaac) Perez, and Brenda Walling; aunt, Bonnie Villa-Fritzler; and several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends. 

Moore Funeral Home in Brazil has been entrusted with Robert’s cremation arrangements. A private burial will take place at Roselawn Cemetery in Terre Haute.
