Robert W. McClelland

Robert W. McClelland, 71, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute surrounded by family. He was born on October 19, 1949 in Brazil to the late Charles and Geneva (Dickerson) McClelland. Robert attended Brazil High School and spent the majority of his life repairing old cars and working on small engine repair. Robert married Connie Cox on August 24, 1978, and together they raised four children. 

Robert was a long time member of the Brazil United Pentecostal Church. In his free time, Robert enjoyed attending car shows, fishing, mushroom hunting, auctions, and working on lawn mowers and cars. Most importantly, Robert loved spending time with his grandchildren. 

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Chester McClelland, Charlie McClelland, Frank Leroy McClelland; and grandchildren, Tyler Layne and Bryonnah Head. 

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Connie McClelland; children, Melinda (Jeff) Allen of Brazil, Robert (Lynn) McClelland, Jr. of Brazil, Karrie (Brian) Kunkler of Brazil, Jacob (Jennifer) McClelland of Brazil; sisters, Jean Foltz of California, Betty Moore of Brazil; grandchildren, Bart, Savanah, Jashawn, Joni, Malachi, Brycen, Isaiah, Waylon, Connor, Matt, Garret, Emma, Destiny, Dawn, Kennedy, Elizabeth, Riley; great-grandchildren, Kaden, Maddox, little Bart, Xavier, Landen, Emberly, Preston, Owen, Addy, Eve; as well as several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. 

Moore Funeral Home in Brazil was entrusted with Robert’s cremation arrangements.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
