Brazil, Indiana
Ronald Bricker, 81, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at his home in Brazil after a brief illness. He was born in Vincennes, Indiana on December 23, 1943 to the late Harold and Edna (Raney) Bricker. Ron graduated from Bedford High School, and earned his BA in psychology and his MA from Indiana University. He later obtained his doctorate from Northern Illinois University and was a clinical psychologist. Ron was most proud of being the Chief Executive Officer of the Verde Valley Guidance Clinic in Arizona from 1981-1999, and was also proud of being the co-chairman on the committee to incorporate the city of Sedona, Arizona.
Although he lived away for some time, Ron was always a Hoosier at heart and loved watching IU basketball. He had a knack for seeing the absurd, and it was once said Ron could move a battleship without making a wave. His dry sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him. Ron was preceded in death by his bother, Steve Bricker.
Survivors include his devoted wife, Julie Bricker; son, Stuart Bricker; granddaughter, Olivia Bricker; beloved niece and nephew, Jessica (Nick Essling) Bricker and Michael (Zoe White) Bricker; as well as his great-nephew, Leo Bricker.
Moore Funeral Home in Brazil was entrusted with Ron’s cremation arrangements. A private service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to your local Salvation Army.
