Ronald “Ronnie” Eugene Christensen, 67, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. He was born on December 5, 1953 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Thorveld and Beverly (Bruce) Christensen. Ronnie graduated from Santana High School in 1969, and served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He married Janeece (Cotten) on November 4, 1984, and worked for the City of Brazil.
Biker by definition, Ronnie found peace and acceptance with the Brotherhood and his fellow bikers. He and his life long love, Jan, loved racing trains and chasing storms on their bikes, while sharing love for the ride and each other. They rode in biker charities and shared their passion with those around them. Happiness was an open road and two wheels. Ronnie’s other love was found behind his drums and playing for anyone who would listen. He was not a man of public emotion, but you could feel them as he ripped through his skins and cowbell while stomping his Chucks on his kicks.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Alan Cotten; sisters, Pamela Christensen, Mikey Sue Christensen; brother, Marvin “Uncle Butch” Virgin; grandchildren, Raven Tedder and Shyloi Stewart; as well as his great-granddaughter, Zoiey Tedder.
He is survived by his wife, Janeece Christensen of Brazil, Indiana; daughter, Jessica (Peter) Shahinian of La Quinta, California; Uriah (Jennifer) Christensen of Yuma, Arizona and Joshua (Marisha) Christensen of Brazil, Indiana; Sister, Victoria Christensen of San Diego, California; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Cotten of La Quinta, California; grandchildren, Kendra, Heaven, Uriah II, Kenny, Hunter, Sebastian, Desiree “Pyng”, Xavier, Skyleigh, Brockton, Lex; great-grandchildren, Bryleigh, Exavior, and Ryder; as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Moore Funeral Home in Brazil was entrusted with Ronnie’s cremation arrangements.
