Rosalee Mullenix, 94, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Towne Park Assisted Living of Brazil surrounded by her family. She was born on August 21, 1927 in Terre Haute, to the late Luther and Anna (Davis) Plunkett. Rosie graduated from Brazil High School in 1945, and married the love of her life Charles “Zeb” Mullenix on December 30, 1945.
She and Zeb were lifetime members of the 1st Baptist Church, where she taught both Bible School and Sunday School as well as attending several mission trips. Rosie owned and operated Eastside Superette and was a cook at Van Buren School. In her free time she enjoyed crocheting, spending time with friends and family. Rosie’s favorite pastime was feeding people, if you ever spent any time with her there is a good chance she made sure you didn’t leave hungry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Zeb” Mullenix; son, Jack Mullenix; brothers, Harold, Lloyd, and Donald Plunkett; and one great-grand baby
Survivors include, son, Charles W. (Marvina) Mullenix of Carbon; daughter, Sandra (Herman) Knoll, Hartland, Wisconsin; brother, Robert Plunkett of Floyds Knobs, Indiana; seven grandchildren; twenty great-garandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastors Dick McShanog and Pastor Mark Strahm officiating and burial to follow at Calcutta Cemetery. The family will accept friends for visitation on Friday, from 4:00-8:00 P.M.
