Ruth Boyce, 91, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at her home. She was born on January 18, 1932 in Brazil, Indiana to the late Chester and Arzella (Bullerdick) McLain. Ruth graduated from Brazil High School in 1949 and married Harold Boyce on March 3, 1951. While she was homemaker at heart, she did work part time at Kit Insurance, the Terre Haute Boys Club and Merchants Bank.

In her free time she enjoyed bowling, playing games, playing cards, cooking, and spending time with her family especially the grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold; sister, Thelma Stevenson; and infant brother, Forrest McLain.

Survivors include her sons, Duane (Lisa) Boyce of Terre Haute, and Dean (Lisa) Boyce of Wylie, Texas; daughter, Denise (Chris) Jacobsen of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Amber (Brad) Bush, Alicia (Jake) Duncan, Ashley (Eric) Sullivan, Shane (Andrea) Boyce, Aaron Jacobsen, Magen (Travis) Kostenko, Amy Jacobsen; great-grandchildren, Addison Bush, Aiden Bush, Keeley Dodson, Karson Kostenko, Caleb Sullivan, Kenzlee Kostenko, Rosalia Romano, Conner Sullivan, Carley Sullivan, Charlie Duncan, Forrest Duncan, and Brighton Boyce; as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday August 28, 2023 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Brad Bush officiating and burial to follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery. The family will accept friends for visitation on Monday from 11:00 A.M. until time of service.
