Rylee Paige Rogers, 16, was taken from this earth Saturday, July 27 2019 as the result of a vehicle accident. She was born on April 15, 2003 in Terre Haute the daughter of Ryan and Karen (Syrovatka) Rogers. Rylee was entering her Junior year at Northview High School. Her life revolved around volleyball and work, playing for the Northview Knights as well as the Intensity Travel Team based in Paris, IL. She enjoyed shopping, the beach, and spending time with her family and friends.
Rylee was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Jim “Skip” Syrovatka.
She is survived by her parents Ryan and Karen Rogers; sister Kassidy Rogers all of Brazil. Paternal grandparents, Donna Harmon of New Castle, Indiana and Richard Rogers of Indianapolis, as well as her maternal grandmother Nancy Syrovatka of Hebron, Indiana. She is also survived by her aunts, Janet ( Scott) Harner of Plymouth, Indiana, Laura Syrovatka (Godmother) of North Judson, Indiana, and Theresa (Joe) Springer of DeMotte, Indiana; uncles, James (Marilyn) Syrovatka (Godfather), Mickey (Dawn) Syrovatka, and Matt (Jenna) Syrovatka all of Hebron, Indiana; as well as her great aunts, Marcia Kern and Nancy Bell both of New Castle and her best friend, Mackenzie Berry. She is also survived by several cousins, and extended family.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday August 2, 2019 at Northview High School Gymnasium in Brazil, with Pastor Jeff Bridgewater officiating. Family will accept friends for visitation on Thursday from 3:00-8:00 P.M. at Moore Funeral Home, and from 11:00 until the time of service on Friday at the school. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Rylee Rogers Memorial Fund, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
