Sara Jane Elmore, 44, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on August 22, 1977 in Terre Haute to Roger and Jane (Stephens) Elmore. Sara graduated from Northview High School in 1995, and worked for several restaurants in the area including Top Notch, and the Iron Skillet before opening Sara Jane’s.

When she wasn’t working, Sara loved spending time with her family, especially her daughters and granddaughter. She enjoyed traveling, shopping and was always the life of the party with her singing and dancing. Sara was preceded in death by her mother, Jane Elmore; grandmother, Eva Elmore; and nieces, Jessica Giacone and Alainee Elmore.

She is survived by her father, Roger (Martha) Elmore of Terre Haute; daughters, Hannah Decker of Terre Haute, Brooke (Courtney Palmer) Decker of Monrovia; boyfriend, Jeremey Peevler of Staunton and his mother Marsha Miller; brothers Jay (Brenda) Giacone of Yorktown, IN and David Elmore of Plainfield; sisters, Laura (Tom) Swiger and Corinna Spurgin both of Terre Haute; granddaughter, Rylee Decker; as well as several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and the Sara Jane’s Crew.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil. The family will accept friends for visitation on Tuesday from 3:00 P.M. until the time of service. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Bee Ridge Cemetery.
