Shirley Mae (Lietch) Louderback

Shirley Mae Louderback, 86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. She was born on March 2, 1935 in Flint, Michigan to the late Clarence and Dorothy (Wilkes) Leitch. Shirley graduated from Brazil High School in the class of 1953. The following year, Shirley married Leon Louderback on May 22nd. She went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree from St. Mary of the Woods.

Shirley was an avid golfer, veracious reader, and loved to play euchre and bridge with her girlfriends.  She worked as a dental assistant for 30 years before becoming a real estate agent. 

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved dog, Barney. Survivors include; her husband of 67 years, Leon Louderback; sons, Rick (Rhonda) Louderback, Doug (Robbie) Louderback; sister, Olive Ann Liddil; grandchildren, Karissa, Kendra, David; four great-grandchildren; and other extended family members and friends.  

Moore Funeral Home in Brazil, Indiana has been entrusted with Shirley’s cremation arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clay County Humane Society located at 8280 N County Road 125 W, Brazil, Indiana 47834.
