Stephen Lawson, 80, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2025 at IU West Hospital in Avon. Stephen was born in Brazil, Indiana on October 24, 1945 to the late Wayne and Marcella (Kaiser) Lawson. He graduated from Brazil High School and worked as a teacher for the Plainfield Correctional Facility.

Stephen enjoyed reading, history, politics, and watching sports. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary Lawson, and Rickey Lawson.

Survivors include his sons, Aaron Lawson, Nathaniel Lawson, and Daniel Lawson; daughters, Marcella Heider and Jennifer Lawson-Abdul; ten grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Summit Lawn Cemetery in Brazil.
