Sue T. (Thompson) McCombs Obituary

Center Point, Indiana

Sue T. McCombs, 92, passed away Wednesday October 15, 2025 at the Gibson Family Hospice Center in Terre Haute. She was born in Center Point, Indiana on April 8, 1933 to the late Aubra C. and Bessie I. (Crafton) Thompson. Sue graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1951, and went on to marry George H. McCombs on December 26 of that year. She was a member of the Bowling Green Community Church and the Eastern Star.

Sue enjoyed gardening, attending church, and caring for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, as well as 10 siblings.

Survivors include her daughters, Denise (Tom) Bridgewater, Deedra (Kenny) Rector, Denita (Bill) Noblitt and Deniela (Jay) Nicoson; grandchildren, Summer (Jack) Bruer, Joshua (Rawan) Rector, Justin (Darcy) Noblitt, Jason (Abby) Noblitt, Erin Shaw, Kendra (Levi) Pollard, Kori (Jayson) Bolinger, Malcolm Rector, Devyn (Mike) Elsea, Betsy (Drake) Stevenson, Emma Nicoson and Rachel Nicoson; Twenty Great-Grandchildren, 8 Great-Great Grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Moore Funeral Home in Brazil was entrusted with Sue’s cremation arrangements. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date with interment in Fairview Cemetery.
