Vanessa Kay Moore, 62, passed away Friday, July 24, 2020 at her home in Carbon. She was born in Granite City, Illinois on February 27, 1958 to the late Bobby Joe Moore and Geneva Doughty. Vanessa graduated from Staunton High School in 1976, and served her country in the United States Air Force. She worked as a Quality Control Specialist for Stratosphere Quality, LLC.

Vanessa enjoyed fishing, camping, and loved spending time with her grand babies! She was preceded in death by her son, Shane Schwartz; brothers, Greg Moore and Bobby Allen Moore.

Survivors Include:

Spouse: Vicki Schwartz, Carbon, Indiana

Son: Ski Schwartz, Brazil, Indiana

Josh (Joline) Terhune, Indianapolis, Indiana

Daughters: Ruth (Adrian) Brown, Carbon, Indiana

Geneva Erin (Brian) Reeves, Carbon, Indiana

Grandchildren: Lincoln Brown, Shane Schwartz, Simon Schwartz, Ziva Brown, Benjamin Brown, Anastasia Brown, Liam Reeves, and Zechariah Brown

A celebration of of Vanessa’s life will be held at a later date, Moore Funeral Home in Brazil was entrusted with her cremation arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with final expenses, by clicking the Donation link above.
