Vera Maxine (Clark) Holley

Vera Maxine Holley, 84, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at The Belmont in Columbus. She was born on July 5, 1938 in Vigo County to the late Virgil and Bertha (Pressley) Clark. Vera married E. Donald Holley on October 23, 1954. She worked as the assistant cafeteria manager for West Vigo High School for over 30 years, before retiring in 1999. In her free time, Vera enjoyed crafting, painting and taking walks outside. She was a dedicated member of Mt. Healthy Community Church in Columbus. 

Vera is preceded in death by her husband, E. Donald Holley; grandson, Cole Holley; brothers, Floyd, Dale and David Clark; and sisters, Betty Stephens, Cheryl Ann Keegan. Survivors include her son, Donald (Jane) Holley of Seymour; daughter, Cathy Holley of Oblong, Illinois; sister, Wanda Fraley of Jeffersonville; as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 17, 2023 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Dennis Holley officiating. The family will accept friends for visitation from 12 Noon until the time of service. Burial will follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Vera’s honor to a local church of choice.
