Violet M. Lueck, 90, passed away Friday January 20, 2023 at Wellbrook of Avon. She was born on August 26, 1932 in West Terre Haute, Indiana to the late Henry Uffin and Eva Belle Weir. Violet was married to James Lueck, and retired after 43 years of working for Eli Lily. She enjoyed gardening, looking at her flowers, and spending time with her dogs. Violet was preceded in death by her husband, James Lueck; brothers, Robert Paul Edwards and Henry Uffin, Jr.; sister, Martha Jones; niece, Beverly Livengood.

Survivors include her nephew, Bob (Teresa) Lohse of Terre Haute; nieces, Tina (Mike) Nacke of Plainfield and Judy Solomon of Brazil; as well as several great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Merrill Weir officiating and burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Terre Haute. The family will accept friends for visitation on Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service.
