Virgenna Boyce Obituary

Virgenna Maxine Boyce (Brammer), 94, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018 in Brazil Indiana.  She was born in Brazil on July 27, 1923 to the late Otis and Mary (Trenary) Brammer.  Maxine graduated from Brazil High School in 1941 and married her husband Kenneth Leroy Boyce on August 20, 1941.  She worked for many years at Oehler’s Variety Store in the toy department.  Maxine was a life long member of the The First United Methodist Church in Brazil. 

Maxine enjoyed growing and arranging flowers. She also enjoyed arts and crafts and traveling across the country with Kenneth.  She was happiest while caring for and being surrounded by her family.   

Mrs. Boyce was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Boyce after 61 years of marriage; Son: Gary Boyce; Brothers: Roy Brammer and George Brammer; and Sister: Lucille Chapman.

          Steve (Beth) Boyce     Brazil, Indiana

          Scott Boyce     Westerville, Ohio

Daughter:   Sheri (Tim) DeWitt.    Indianapolis, Indiana

Grandchildren: Shawn (Traci)     Boyce Reelsville, Indiana

                        Shane (Cathy) Boyce     Fillmore, Indiana

                        Mitch (Amy) Boyce             Columbia, South Carolina

                        Sarah (Michael) Owens     Brazil, Indiana

                        Alison (Evan) Whitman     Brazil, Indiana

                       Danielle (Anthony) Resto     Hobart, Indiana

                       David (Katie) Boyce     Marysville, Ohio

                      Michaela Boyce     Marysville, Ohio

                      Jessica DeWitt     Indianapolis, Indiana

Maxine is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.  

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M.  Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with her grandson Shawn Boyce officiating and burial to follow at Clearview Cemetery in Brazil. The family will accept visitors Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
