Virginia Hill, 89, peacefully passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025 at her home. She was born on April 29, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Harold J. and Mildred E.(LaBier) Hill. Virginia graduated from South Shore High School and worked as an executive assistant for Henry P. Smith, Dr. French, as well as the Pub and several others. Virginia also worked at the Elks as a bar tender, and owned her dress shop called Gingers Gazebo.
Virginia found joy in all aspects of life, she enjoyed knitting, crotheting, cooking, and genealogy. She loved taking drives to see the country, and spending time with Vicki attending horse shows. Virginia was an avid fan of the Trans Siberian Orchestra and Chicago Cubs, and rarely missed a NASCAR. She was an original founder of the Clay County Women’s Republican Club.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold Joseph Hill, Jr and James Wade Hill.
Virginia leaves behind her daughter, Victoria “Vicki” Hill.
Moore Funeral Home in Brazil was entrusted with Virginia’s cremation arrangements.
