Cory, Indiana

Virginia Rogers, 92, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025 at the Villages of Oakridge in Washington, Indiana. She was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on July 25, 1932 to the late Elmer and Tressia (Unger) Rogers. Virginia was a life long member of the the Cory Zion Church, where she played organ for many years. She retired from Public Service Indiana in 1990.

Virginia loved to travel, and was proud of visiting all 50 states. Her favorite color was red, and she enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her family and playing the piano. She was preceded in death by her brother, Melvin Rogers.

Survivors include her nephews, Chip (Jamie) Rogers, Brian (Cassaundra) Rogers, and Nathan (Emily) Rogers; niece, Renee (Brent) Cramer; as well as 15 great nieces and nephews and 5 great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 29, 2025 at the Cory Zion Church in Cory with Pastor Brent Cramer officiating and burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will accept friends for visitation on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
