Wanda R. Whittington, 90 passed away Friday, June 27, 2025 at Cloverleaf Healthcare in Knightsville. She was born in Centerpoint, Indiana on May 12, 1935 to the late Harold and Bertha Siples. Wanda graduated from Brazil High School in the class of 1953, and married Marvin Jack Whittington on December 21,1956. She was a member of Berea Christian Church for over 50 years. Wanda worked for Pells, Clay County Hospital and Farm Bureau Insurance before starting her career at Indiana Public Service in 1956 where she remained until she retired in 1990.

Wanda and Jack enjoyed traveling and camping visiting several states. They enjoyed attending church, and caring for their dogs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Whittington; brother Delbert Siples; sister-in-law, Phyllis Siples; great-niece Brandee Siples, and great-nephew Chase Morris.

Survivors include her brother, Darrell (Bonnie) Siples; as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Doug Parkey officiating and burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Bowling Green. The family will accept friends for visitation on Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made the the Clay County Humane Society.
