William "Bill" Danhour Obituary

Reelsville, Indiana

William “Bill” Lee Danhour, 71, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute with his family by his side. He was born in Brazil, Indiana on July 4, 1947 to the late Herman and Clara Ina (Raab) Danhour. Bill graduated from Reelsville High School in 1965, and served his country in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War, and came home to marry Connie McCullough on October 25, 1969. He was a member of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church. Bill retired in 2011 after years of working in factories and driving trucks. Throughout his career he worked for Columbia Records, Ringo Lumber, Lear, and the United States Postal Service. 

Bill loved being outdoors, spending his free time hunting, fishing, shooting, camping, and mowing his lawn. He was an avid knife collector, and loved spending time with his friends and family. Bill was preceded in death by his three sisters, Mary Oliveria, Norma Stansbury, and Thelma Jean Shewmaker. 

Survivors Include:

    Wife of 50 years:     Connie Danhour, Reelsville, Indiana

    Son:    Rob (Mindi) Danhour, Reelsville, Indiana

    Nephews:    Bob (Brenda) Oliveria, Terre Haute, Indiana

    Granddaughters:    Makaylee and Kinzi 

    Several Nieces, Nephews and other extended family members

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Monday at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Paul Zurcher officiating and military honors to follow. The family will accept friends for visitation on Monday from 4:00 P.M. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
