William “Bill” George Lovett, 86, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2026 while staying at Cloverleaf Healthcare. He was born in Brazil, Indiana on June 21, 1940 to the late George H. And Reba E. (Myers) Lovett. Bill graduated from Ashboro High School in 1958. He worked as a meat cutter for 51 years, working for the Clay City Locker, the Applehouse in Terre Haute, as well as Pages, and Miller’s IGA. Bill served on the Brazil City Council, worked as Brazil Police Department Reserve, Brazil City Board of Works.

Bill loved the game of golf, he served on the Forest Park Golf Board. Bill hit 2 hole-in-one’s over the years, the latest being on Sept. 11, 2025. He loved Northview Athletics, holding season tickets for many years. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sharron Lovett, second wife, Velvet Lovett; daughter, Debra Waymire; son, Bill Lovett; sister, Susie June; and his brothers, Harold and James.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Lovett;  daughters, Bobbi Lovett, Ginger (Ed) Vinzant, Crissy (Brandon) Lawson, Debra (Rusty) Miller, and Lana (James) Mimms; sons, Larry (Janie) White, Lonnie White, Loren (Roxanne) White; twenty-two Granchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Monday, July 13, 2026 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil. The family will accept friends for visitation on Monday from 4:00 until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the StuStrong Foundation, P.O. Box 13, Brazil, Indiana 47834.
