Rose Olson

Rose Emma Olson, 96, flew up to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Cloverleaf Healthcare in Knightsville. She was born in Carbon, Indiana on September 7, 1920 to the late Arthur “Red” Smith and Myrtle (Mostetler) Smith. Rose attended school in Carbon, and married John M. Smith who preceded her in death. She was a supervisor at Quaker Maid, and attended Peniel United Methodist Church in Brazil. Rose later married Bob Olson on July 16, 2000. She always put others before herself. Mrs. Olson enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, flowers, and loved playing Bingo. Rose enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Brenda Stewart; son-in-law, Robert Stewart, Sr. and siblings, Robert, Daniel, Hubert, Florence and Elnora

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday February 25, 2017 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Richard Pippin officiating and burial to follow at Clearview Cemetery. The family will accept friends for visitation at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00-7:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the Peniel United Methodist Church.
