Debra Kay Gruener, 60, went to be with the Lord on January 21, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis with her family by her side. Deb was born on August 25, 1956 in Greencastle, Indiana to the late Renos E. and Freda K. (Day) Haltom. She attended Cloverdale High School and later married Anthony "Tony" Evans, who preceded her in death. Debby later married William “Bill” Gruener on October 3, 1985. She worked in the cafeteria at Cloverdale Community Schools for many years. She attended Soul Harvest Church as well as the Millgrove Methodist Church.

Deb could be found most evenings at a ball game cheering on her children and grandchildren. She loved eating candy, playing games with her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and feeding anyone that came in the door. She enjoyed collecting EVERYTHING!!! Deb would never turn down a shopping trip, or a day of browsing yard sales.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Brummett, Father-in-Law, Herbert Gruener.

Paige (Michael Glassburn) Gruener, Cloverdale, Indiana

Brother: Rob (Angie) Haltom, Quincy, Indiana

Sisters: Judy Grove, Pendleton, Indiana

Vicki Albietz, Cloverdale, Indiana

Brother-in-Laws: Jeff (Chari) Gruener, Brazil, Indiana

A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Soul Harvest Church (14 Crosswinds Drive, Cloverdale, Indiana) with Pastor Matt Nichols and Pastor John Nees officiating. The family will accept friends for visitation at the church on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Soul Harvest Church or the Cloverdale Community Schools Dollars for Scholars Program, envelopes will be available at the church. Moore Funeral Home in Brazil was entrusted with her arrangements.
